A test mule of what seems to be a single-cylinder Hypermotard has been spotted testing in Italy. The test mule has similar styling cues as the larger Hypermotard, but with some differences such as a single brake disc at both ends, a single exhaust can, and a different frame design.

The single-cylinder engine is likely to displace 659 cc and feature a 4-valve architecture. It could produce around 75 hp of power, similar to the KTM 690 SMC R. The new single-cylinder Hypermotard could debut in 2024 and compete with other supermoto bikes in the market.
